Tim Krul is a Dutch footballer who plays as a goalkeeper.
Curl grew up in The Hague where he played youth football for HVV RAS and ADO Den Haag.
Krul represented the Netherlands national football team at U17 level at the 2005 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Peru. This was followed by the U21s at the 2008 Toulon Tournament.
In 2011, he made his debut in the Dutch national team. Krul is one of only 6 players who played in the Dutch national team without playing in the Eredivisie.
Krul was part of the squad that participated in the UEFA Euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine, as second goalkeeper to Michel Vorm, but did not make any appearances. Krul was also in the Netherlands' squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. In the quarter-final against Costa Rica, he was brought on for the penalty shootout. His penalty saves took Oranje into the semi finals.
