Stichting Betaald Voetbal Vitesse is commonly referred to as Vitesse or Vitesse Arnhem. Based in the eastern Dutch city of Arnhem, it was founded on 1892.
In 2010 the club was bought by Georgian businessman Merab Jordania, who is a good friend with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich. This friendship created a partnership between the two clubs allowing many young Chelsea players are loaned to Vitesse including Patrick van Aanholt.Its home is the GelreDome stadium which opened in 1998.
